Entrecard Review

This service is truly extraordinary! I cannot even put in words the imagination that these guys have, I mean their slogan is “Business Card 2.0″. I don’t know whether it refers to the power of Web 2.0 or the business card reinvented, but either way I’m stunned. Entrecard is a must for anyone trying to boast both awareness and traffic. Let’s go further into detail.
What is Entrecard?
Entrecard is a service that allows you to advertise on other peoples websites, but instead of using cash, you use EC which is the currency over at Entrecard. Once you register, you are given code to install on your website. What this does is installs a little widget which displays others ads. In order to put an ad on my website, you would need a certain amount of EC. There are a two ways to get these EC points. Whenever someone drops a card on my widget I get a point, and whenever I drop a card on someone else’s widget I get point. Because of this, everyone wins!
Are EC valuable?
Like I said earlier, EC can be used to buy advertisement space on other websites that also have the widget. The best thing about this is the fact that it allows you to advertise on sites that would normally cost you hundreds of dollars to advertise on. Each advertisement only stays on for a day, but realize how much traffic you would get from being on ProBlogger for just that one day.
EC can also be sold for money. At the moment, the rate is 1000 EC for $7. Now while it isn’t worth it for most to sell them, some make get so many that they have left overs that they can.
EntreCard has created a store where you can buy anything from hosting, to a RapidShare premium account. They have really figured out a way to make these EC points valuable.
Tips and Tricks
I’m going to share some secrets with you that many don’t know. Many people try to save up and advertise on well established sites because they think that different ones, even though they have a high drop rate, aren’t worth it. They’re completely right, it isn’t. But one thing that you should spend it on is newly created accounts. That is because these cost a measly 2 points, and for all you know it could be a site that averages around a thousand visitors a day. The fee for advertisement isn’t dependent on traffic, instead it is based off the number of drops it gets daily. That means that a new site has no drops, therefore even if its popular, as long as it has just installed the widget it will be extremely cheap to advertise. You want to get one of these spots quickly though, because within 10 minutes they are usually all gobbled up. In order to see the newest listings, visit the Most Recent Listings.
