WordPress 2.5 Sneak Peak

For all of you bloggers out there, you will be happy to find out the fully redesigned WordPress 2.5 is almost here. We’ll have a full review with images and explanations when it comes out, but let’s just bask in the glory of this thing for now. Here are just some of the new features:
“…customizable dashboard, multi-file upload, built-in galleries, one-click plugin upgrades, tag management, built-in Gravatars, full text feeds, faster load times…”
It turns out that this has been in the works for the last few months, and they have been working with Happy Cog to get there.

They have completely redone the dashboard allowing you to instantly be able to access the most important information.
The new colors and styles allow the interface to be more interesting then the bland old blue layout. It also looks much appealing, and this latest update might put them over the edge. You might start to see more people switching over from the dark side (Google’s Blogger.com), something I have been wanting to see for some time now.
Anyways if you want to read more, check out Matt Mullenweg’s post entitled “2.5 Sneak Peak” over at the WordPress Blog.

Woot! I’ve been looking for this. I really like the colour scheme, it’s less depressing than the current one!
